The CTET: national level exam is conducted at two levels, Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Elementary Stage).
Paper 1: for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to class 5
Paper 2: for candidates who wish to teach class 6 to class 8
Paper 1 consists of 5 sections while Paper 2 consists of 4 sections. Candidates have to choose between Mathematics & Science and Social Studies in Paper 2.
CTET exam for paper-I contains a total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) that candidates need to attempt in two and a half hours duration. The CTET question paper is divided into five sections as mentioned below:
There is no negative marking on incorrect answer. 1 mark will be awarded for correct answer.
